The Wapiti Lake Pack is located in the interior of Yellowstone from Mammoth Hot Springs all the way down to Old Faithful. This pack was established in 2014 when a female from the Canyon Pack paired off with a male from outside of the park (755M). As of June 2023, this pack is still around.
In the winter of 2024, The Wapiti Lake pack of Yellowstone National Park hunted a bison on the banks of the Firehole River. Katie and I wrote a short article for a Yellowstone Newsletter, but I've also posted it on my website as a blog post. Here is the link if you are interested in taking a look!
